Xinjiang: Diversified energy storage keeps green energy surging
Transforming from the Gobi Desert into a 'green energy ocean', Xinjiang's energy transformation is surging with a 'green' trend. At present, the installed capacity of new energy in Xinjiang has exceeded 100 million kilowatts, becoming the first province in the western region to have installed over 100 million kilowatts of new energy. At the same time, the energy storage industry is becoming the "regulator" of Xinjiang's energy transformation. As of February 2025, Xinjiang has built over 200 energy storage power stations with a total installed capacity of 9.777 million kilowatts/3.2663 million kilowatt hours, ranking among the top in the country and the first in the western region. With green development as the pen, Xinjiang is creating a model for energy transformation in the western region, injecting a continuous stream of green energy into the construction of a beautiful China.
