China Energy Storage Technology | Jointly with Zhejiang Furui Juneng, invest in the full industrial
Release time:2026.01.15 Number of views:5

The large-scale application of all-vanadium flow battery energy storage has seen a surge, with multiple GWh-scale projects being implemented nationwide. The integration of hybrid energy storage and grid-forming technologies has broadened the application boundaries.
China Energy Storage Technology Development Association, in collaboration with Zhejiang Furui Juneng, will invest 2 billion yuan to build a full-industry chain base for an annual production capacity of 2GW of all-vanadium flow battery energy storage systems. The base will cover all aspects of electrolyte materials, bipolar plates, membrane electrodes, fuel cells, and energy storage systems, achieving self-reliance and controllability of core components and reducing unit costs by 15%-20%. Once the project reaches its full production capacity, it is expected to generate annual revenue of 6 billion yuan and net profit of approximately 600 million yuan.

With the commissioning of benchmark projects such as China's largest energy storage power station in Jimsar, Xinjiang, and the world's largest grid-connected hybrid energy storage power station, vanadium redox flow batteries have become an important technology route for long-duration energy storage, and will continue to expand their market share under the "dual carbon" strategy.
It is understood that China Energy Storage Technology will invest in the construction of 100 full-vanadium redox flow battery energy storage system full industry chain bases in the next five years.
