The power station is located in Shuizi Town, Qian'an County, Songyuan City, Jilin Province. It has an installed capacity of 400000 kilowatt hours and adopts all vanadium flow battery technology. It has the advantages of high energy conversion efficiency, long cycle life, long peak shaving time, and good safety, especially suitable for large-scale energy storage scenarios. After the power station is put into operation, it can effectively alleviate the intermittent and fluctuating problems of local new energy generation, improve the regulation capacity and stability of the power grid, enhance the grid's acceptance of new energy, and play an important role in the power supply this winter and next spring. It will provide stable and reliable power support for the economic and social development of Jilin Province and the beautiful life of the people.
This power station is an active exploration of shared energy storage. Shared energy storage is a new model that uses the power grid as a link to provide energy storage services for multiple new energy power stations simultaneously. It transforms the traditional correspondence between one energy storage station and one power station into a "1-to-N" relationship where one energy storage station corresponds to multiple new energy power stations. Thus maximizing the efficiency of energy storage systems, improving the level of new energy consumption, and increasing the total revenue of shared energy storage participants. After the power station is put into operation, it will provide distribution and storage capacity for 13 new energy power generation enterprises in Jilin Province, which can not only solve the distribution and storage problems of power generation enterprises, but also play a significant peak shaving role in large-scale energy storage, greatly reducing the investment pressure on power generation enterprises to build supporting energy storage facilities.
It is reported that the power station is an important component of the first batch of centralized shared energy storage demonstration projects in Jilin Province. It is led by State Grid Jilin Electric Power Co., Ltd. and funded by Shandong Electric Power Group. It adopts Rongke Energy Storage Vanadium Liquid Flow Battery Energy Storage System and is expected to consume about 300 million kilowatt hours of new energy annually. After careful planning and sufficient demonstration in the early stage, the project has established the technical route of all vanadium flow battery and the centralized shared construction and operation mode. The smooth operation of this project fully verifies that all vanadium flow batteries are the preferred technology for long-term and large-scale energy storage. They can operate stably in cold regions and play a key role in optimizing the regional power supply structure and improving the utilization rate of new energy.
