As Shanghai's first hybrid energy storage power station with multiple technology routes on the grid side, the Shenneng Fengxian Xinghuo Comprehensive New Energy Storage Demonstration Base (Phase I) is equipped with 20MW/80MWh liquid flow batteries, 5MW/20MWh sodium ion batteries, 7.5MW/30MWh semi-solid state batteries, and 7.5MW/30MWh lithium iron phosphate batteries, with advanced technology accounting for 81.25% of the scale. Each energy storage technology adopts modular design, equipped with independent converter and boost systems, which have good flexibility and scalability. The successful operation of the first batch of energy storage systems has laid a solid foundation for the base to achieve full capacity grid connection by the end of the year. After the overall operation of the project, it will rely on the intelligent coordination control system and be applied to various scenarios such as peak shaving, frequency regulation, emergency power maintenance, and new energy consumption, which can significantly improve the power grid's ability to consume high proportion renewable energy and its safety and stability.

This project relies on the renovation and upgrading of the original Xinghuo power plant facilities, effectively reducing construction costs and providing a replicable and promotable model for the green transformation of urban existing facilities. Since the start of construction in May this year, Shenneng Investment has efficiently completed site leveling, temporary construction, infrastructure construction, and various compliance procedures through inventory management and parallel promotion of multiple lines, fully ensuring the early completion and operation of the project. In the future, Shenneng Investment will continue to leverage the multiple functions of the Spark Base as a "testing ground, demonstration zone, and research platform", actively expand the application scenarios and business models of independent energy storage on the grid side, and assist in the high-quality development of the new energy storage industry and the optimization and transformation of the energy structure in Shanghai.
